Physician

Physician with general medical experience to work in a 3 partner mobile team to assess general medical status and swallowing function of patients residing in SNF, specialty hospitals and home settings. Team consists of a Speech Language Pathologist, Physician and Technician who evaluate patients in a mobile clinic obtaining history, examination and fluoroscopy. Consult is completed at time of visit. Average 8 patients per day. No weekend or night call. Can work part-time or as moonlighter. All specialties can apply. Opportunities available in MA, NH, ME, RI or CT. Need active medical license. Expectation is that your experience would be adequate to perform a general history and examination, have board certification in your specialty and/or equivalent experience or eligibility. Skills required include use of electronic health record. All training is provided as well as professional expenses.

Drivers

If you are interested in working full-time with a 3 day work week (no weekends) with the ability to participate in all company benefits, please keep reading!

In this role, you will be driving a large medical van to various locations with your team.  Along with driving, you will be will transporting the patient to/from our mobile medical clinic and assist the MD/SLP during the evaluations. The right candidate must be able to drive a large van by utilizing navigation, have excellent communication skills, have an understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and be able to be compassionate with the geriatric population.  You must also be at least 21 years old.  This position is typically 3-4 days/week consisting of 10-12 hour days.  Flexibility is key because no day is the same!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

•             Driving a mobile medical vehicle; following state / federal DOT guidelines and regulations;

•             Working alongside the scheduling department to develop routes, meeting locations, and provide ideas to improve efficiency;

•             Maintaining vehicle cleanliness (Including interior and exterior);

•             Performing daily DOT and MassTex Imaging pre/post trip inspection on vehicle & equipment;

•             Performing daily/weekly/monthly vehicle maintenance checks;

•             Completing daily, monthly and weekly reports (DOT, Expense, Maintenance, Incident);

•             Maintaining a strict inventory of items needed on the mobile medical van;

•             Working alongside a physician and speech language pathologist in a confined space;

•             Communicating with office staff throughout the day, providing updates and any documents needed;

•             Troubleshooting and problem solving for a variety of issues that could include the computer, X-ray equipment, generator, wheelchair lift etc.  Someone with a mechanical aptitude is ideal;

•             Assisting the SLP/MD during the MBSS (Modified Barium Swallow Study) as needed;

•             Calling facility staff and/or patients notifying them when the team is 20-30 minutes away;

•             Obtaining vitals through nursing and/or taking them once the patient is on the van;

•             Helping the team keep the pace of the day, managing the time and staying on schedule;

•             Transporting patient to/from the mobile medical truck;

•             Adhering to all HIPPA regulations and follow MTI protocols and procedures.
